Description:

Partilal wampum belt.

Wampum beads are made from quahog clam shells and are used as ornaments and money (by the colonists). The beads would be woven using string (plant fiber, sinew) and leather to make belts and sashes by the Northeastern tribes such as the Shawnee (Wynn, 2021). Emphasis Hamell. R. D.) .
